Prayer Revolution

"Yahweh looks down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there are any who understand, who seek God." Psa 14:2

Prayer is a powerful and precious form of communication with God. It is a tangible force that we exert through faith. We must P.U.S.H. into the Kingdom of GOD P.U.S.H Pray Until Something Happens either God shows His glory or the devil is defeated. Continually press into the kingdom of God and receive or obtain what you came to get, Matt 9:18-26. Make it a habit of simply taking from the devil what you need. He has it and it belongs to us. Don't wait for your finances to come in take it them in Jesus name. IN prayer and the faith you get in prayer walk in it in the natural. Take hold of the the Kingdom and promises of Christ by force, violently, passionately. Matt 12:29; 11:12. Win the battle on your knees. Eph 6:10-18; 2 Cor 10:4; Matt 16:15-19; 18:18; 11:13. Believe God answers your faintest cry, Heb 1:6. Have faith in God and His mighty power, Romans 1:17. Act upon your faith in prayer and providing for the needs you have prayed for. Pray compassionately with intense spirit filled prayer, John 11:33-36; 12:27; Luke 19:41-44. It is important to praise and worship and thank God every time you talk to Him He is God, Psalms 72:20; 100:2,4; 149:3; 150:4. Sincere prayer and extravagant heart felt praise is what God longs to hear and see. There is power in praise, Psalms 22:3. God reveals you sin in praise and brings healing, Isaiah 6:1-8. You heart will be changed if you praise God in prayer and worship, 1 Sam 10:5-15. You can hear God clearly and will receive direction in praise, Rev 19:10; 1 Sam 10:5-15. God will give you power to witness in a dark world and he will make it clear were you fit in the kingdom of God, namely in worship and adoration at His feet as you tell the lost of His love that you are experiencing on a continually basis not just on Monday and Sunday but everyday and all the time. Isaiah 6:8; Eph 6:18; Romans 8:14. God has more for you seek it and press into it, take it by force do not let the devil dupe you.

"He saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor." Isa 59:16

Real men pray! You can say real men love Jesus, real men wear black but unless you act upon the word of God and stand in the gap for others you are not a real. Man notice that the scripture says. He saw there was NO MAN and WONDERED that there was NO INTERCESSOR. Are you and intercessor, will you be an intercessor? You duty as the man of the house is to be the spiritual head and leader. You can not leave spiritual things up to your wife you must lead by example. You can say you love Jesus. However Peter one of the disciples that walked with Jesus said in essence you can talk the talk but can you walk the walk. He said, "Faith without action is dead... (and) I will show you my faith through my deeds." You must act upon the word and seek His face for your life, your job, your family and your future.

"The Spirit Is Indeed Willing, But The Flesh Is Weak!" Mark 14:38

Jonathan Edwards said that "Prayer is the hardest yet most essential discipline of the Christian faith" and Jonathan Edwards spent some serious time in prayer daily. He was either praying, traveling, or preaching. Prayer moves the hand of God. You may not be able to be a missionary to another country but you can travel there on your knees and be a prayer missionary.

Sacrifice – the bible tells us to daily pick up our cross and follow Jesus. Picking up our cross daily means to literally sacrifice all our wants and give them to Jesus and allow Him to take all the time of our day as we serve Him in our job or were ever else we may go. Sacrifice is praying when you do not feel like praying. Sacrifice is committing to something and being faithful to do it. You must determine that communion with God is your soul desire, will, determination and life. 1 Thes 5:17; Eph 6:18.

"Far be it for me to sin against The LORD in ceasing to pray for you" 1 Sam 12:23

The bible says that it is a sin not to seek Gods face through prayer. You must determine in your heart that you will unashamedly seek Gods fullness. Do not settle for any less than giving God your best. Don’t give Him a dilapidated cow that did not please God in the Old Testament and it still will not please God today. Give Him your all and do not take it back. "Desire that is worked into discipline becomes a delight." Until you have truly fought for freedom you will not understand the joy that those spiritual victories bring and complacency will dominate your Christian walk. Sin will hinder your prayer make sure you confess all known sins to God and He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness you have committed. 1 Sam 2:25; Lev 10:7; Isa 53:12; 2 Cor 1:20; 10:4:3-6; Gal 5:7-10; Eph 1:22-23; 4:20; 6:10-18; Phil 1:6; 4:6; Col 3:2; 1 Thes 4:3; Heb 2:5-9; 3:12-13; 4:14-16; 6:1-3; 12:14; 13:18; 1 John 3:6-9. Invite the Holy Spirit into your prayer time ask Him to help you pray, Romans 8:23-28. Do not feel like you have to pray like this every time you pray but it will help you to pray longer and more fruitfully if you try some of these principles.

"Could You Not Tarry With Me for One Hour?" Matt 26:40

Could you watch and pray with The LORD for one hour? That is the challenge Larry Lea put out in His book, "Could you not tarry an hour." That book is the premise upon which this theme is developed along with the Lord prayer and the content of scripture. Could you tithe you time a day with the Lord, spend two hours and forty minutes much less and hour a day. Hopefully this outline can and will give you things that you can pray for an hour. I would like to challenge you to pray two hours and forty minutes a day if that is to much I would like you to at least commit an hour a day in true communion with God not just in lip service. Get to know Jesus heart for you and for this lost world.

How can you pray an hour a day you may ask? Number one you must set aside a regular time and a specific place every day were you will go pray. You need a secret place, an upper room were you meet with God and God only. You need to have an accountability partner or two to keep you accountable to your prayer commitment not to boast but to keep you from sleeping in or doing something other that praying. What if I do not have enough time? If you have time to watch the news, a movie, TV, or your favorite football game you have time to sacrifice to spend with Jesus. It takes discipline. Why should I pray? Number one the bible says to not pray for yourself and people other than yourself is a sin against God, 1 Sam 12:23. Number two the bible tells us all men are destined to hell therefore we must pray for them. We must pray for laborers to be sent, that the angels will minister to them, that Gods spirit will prepare and draw them to salvation, that they see vision and have dreams of Jesus and that God give us the boldness to go witness to them ourselves. (Rom 3:10,23; 6:23; Matt 25:46; Rev 21:8; James 1:21-27; 2:14-26). The harvest is ripe, their souls are in need of salvation. They are desperately seeking for an answer to all there troubles and worries. Jesus did not say pray for lost souls He said that they know they are in need of help, "The harvest is ripe." Instead Jesus commanded us to pray for laborers to go witness, Matt 9:37-38. We are to pray that the angels will go forth and minister to those who are to inherit salvation, Heb 1:12. We are to pray that creation itself will reveal God to fallen mankind but that in and of its self is not saving revelation, Rom 1:20. They need saving revelation, which only comes through the preaching of Gods infallible word, Rom 10:9-17. We are to pray for God to send people to plant, water, and reap God giving the increase, 1 Cor 3:7-8. Pray that God will give the lost visions and dreams of a saving, healing, and redeeming Jesus, Joel 2:28; Acts 10: 1-4. What if I don’t feel like praying? We do not rely on feelings we walk by faith, Rom 1:17. I’ve never prayed that long before? The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak, Matt 26:37-45; Mark 14:38. Do not commit to prayer for someone else commit to prayer to come to know your savior more personally and to obey His commands, Matt 7:21-22; 24:45-46; 25:14-30; Eph 6:18; 1 Thess 5:17.

Praying The Bible

One thing I have asked from the Lord, That I may dwell in the House of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord and to meditate in His temple

Praying the scriptures is a powerful method of communicating with God. For Centuries men and women have prayed scripture in devotion to God, Monastic Monks have prayed the entire Psalms, all one hundred of them weekly – 21 Psalms a day. Through the years the priests of God had developed a daily habit of praying Gods and Singing Gods word back to Him. They took God at His word when He said that He watches over His word to perform it and would actually pray the prophetic promises of scripture, pray the prayers of the bible and sing the psalms as prayers to God. The New Testament Apostolic church meet in the Jewish synagogue at the time of prayer and followed the same pattern they prayed for centuries even as our Lord Jesus did. Wouldn’t be wise for us to follow their godly example. The Psalmist said that he would praise God morning, noon, and night. The Jews were very devout and followed his godly example, as did the New Testament church. We would find a lot of discipline and devotion bringing forth spiritual power in our lives if we would do likewise. The Jews use the actual biblical text as their prayer text. The Jews would pray the Bible as it is written, while also being able to launch out into spontaneous and personalized application of the biblical prayer. The original Psalms were prayers set in a context of musical arrangements and accompaniment that magnified the prayers as worship and devotion to God. For centuries praying the bible has been the practice of ancient holy men and women. The pattern of monks and nuns, was to pray through the entire book of Psalms weekly.
