An Awesome Power Evangelism Encounter
In my
new home Texas there are allot thunder storms and they are scary to me, a poor
California, a fish out of water almost literally. I was working at KFC and it
started to rain real hard and thunder real bad, lightning the whole nine yards.
So, I went and looked outside the door to see how bad it was. It was not safe
enough to make it home walking. Most the people that I would have asked for a
ride were gone for the weekend or summer and everyone else I had forgotten their
number I guess by Gods design. Well anyway I saw how bad it was and prayed a
loud, bold, and meaningful prayer not intending for anyone to hear it,
"LORD, please stop the rain as soon as I walk out this door." When I
stepped back in the door there was one of my bosses and a fellow employee, they
both heard me I felt a little silly but said inside to God, "Hey, God that
would be an awesome testimony of the power of God to these people." The one
lady was a Baptist not believing in the power of God like that and I don't know
if the other one was a Christian or not. When I got of work I walked outside and
the rain didn't stop right away God was testing my faith because I could not
walk home in the rain. Within 20 seconds or so the rain stopped completely I
made my 30 minute trip home without a single drop of rain after that. The next
day my boss said "I noticed you got home okay, yesterday." I said
"Yeah the rain stopped right after I walked out the door." She said
"Yeah I noticed." I was giddy and excited inside. We serve a miracle
working God, Ye' Haw'. God created and owns everything He can do what He wants
when He wants, wow. I am still in awe at God.
