Is Heaven Real?
Yes, it is.
It is a fact that heaven is an actual place. Jesus told us about it throughout
His time on the earth teaching the way of truth.
"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were
not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go
and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there ye may be also. Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the
truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me," (John
14:2-4).
Heaven is a
real place only one of two places you can go to after you die. There aren't any
other alternatives. Heaven is a wonderful place beyond the
imagination of anyone who has ever lived. Words can not describe it.
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear
heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath
prepared for them that love him," (1 Cor 2:9).
"You will show me the path of life: in thy presence
is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore,"
(Psa 16:11)
Can Everyone Go To Heaven?
Everyone can
that's the wonder of the message of the cross and the work of Jesus Christ. People
send themselves to hell, God has done all He can based upon the covenant He made
with man.
"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall
call on the name of the Lord shall be saved," (Act 2:21)
Who Will Go To Heaven?
People who
repent of their sins and believe that Jesus Christ died for their sins and
believe that God raised him from the dead are freely justified by faith in
God.
What Is Heaven Like?
Heaven is
where Jesus is present. To be in his presence is Heaven and fullness of joy.
"You will show me the path of life: in your
presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for
evermore," (Psalms 16:11).
"And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither
light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light: and they shall reign for
ever and ever," (Rev 22:5).
"And he carried me away in the spirit to a great
and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem,
descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light was
like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve
angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of
the children of Israel: On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on
the south three gates; and on the west three gates. And the wall of the city
had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the
Lamb. And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and
the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. And the city lieth foursquare, and
the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed,
twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are
equal. And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits,
according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. And the building of
the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear
glass. And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all
manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second,
sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; The fifth, sardonyx;
the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a
topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an
amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of
one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent
glass," (Rev 21:10-21).
It is beyond
description. Jesus tells us not to miss Heaven no matter what we have to do. You
don't want to miss Heaven.
"And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out,
and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members
should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if
thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is
profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy
whole body should be cast into hell," (Matt 5:29-30).
Will There Be Animals In Heaven?
Yes, there
will be all kinds of animals in Heaven.
"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the
leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the
fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear
shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat
straw like the ox," (Isa 11:6-7).
"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon
him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make
war," (Rev 19:1).
I would say
that there are animals in Heaven. All species found on Earth and even new ones.
Remember we can only imagine half of what Heaven is like.
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear
heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath
prepared for them that love him," (1 Cor 2:9).
Paul is
telling us that we should dream what Heaven is like. No matter how hard we try,
no matter how great our imagination, we can only visualize half of the splendor
of Heaven. Heaven will be wonderful indeed.
We Will Know Each Other.
"And after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and
John his brother, and brought them up into an high mountain apart, And was
transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment
was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias
talking with him," (Matt 17:1-3).
Peter, James
and John recognized Moses and Elias, who were born hundreds of years before.
Yet, they still recognized Moses and Elias.
"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but
then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am
known," (1 Cor 13:12).
We will know
everyone, those who we met and loved in this life and those we never met.
Not By Works, But Grace Through Faith In Jesus.
There are
many religions that teach faith plus works is necessary in order to get into
heaven. Stay away from these teachings because they are false.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and
that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God," (Eph 2:8).
I
am not condemning doing any of these things but do not rely solely on them for
your salvation. It is a gift. You do not earn a gift.
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no,
not one... For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God," (Rom
3:10, 23).
No matter
how hard you might try you can never earn salvation. It is written. This is what
God says.
