THE
HOUR OF POWER PRAYER
Break the hour up into twelve segments
of five-minute of
prayer, then pray on each theme for the whole five minutes. After a while you
will find it easy to do. (1)
Praise
– We enter Gods presence through praise, thanksgiving and singing to the
lord, it is the protocol to His presence, person and power, (Psa 103:1).
Praise God in tongues it will help you get out of your worldly mindset and get
you in tune with the spirit, for your “mind is fruitless,” however your
inner man is “edified” or built up, (Jude 20; 1 Cor 14:4-5). (2)
Scripture Praying.
Pray the psalms and other powerful biblical passages of prayer and praise. The
word of God is our guide and source book, it teaches how to pray and what to
pray. His word is His Purpose, His Promise and His power. The word of God
spoken in prayer is our sword. God watches over His word to perform it. He is
seeking a Daniel who will fast and pray over His promise so that he can
fulfill it, (Eph 6:17; Jer 1:12; Psa 119:154b; Dan 9:1-19; Neh 1; John 17:7;
Matt 5:5) (3)
Repentance
– surrender, repentance, confession and forgiveness, (2 Chron 7:14; Acts
3:19). Forgive others in the same measure you want God to forgive you (4)
Pray for the expression of
biblical love (1
Cor 13) and the manifestation of
fruits of the spirit in your life,
(Gal 5:22-23) (5)
Pray for the manifestation of
the gifts of the Holy Spirit and a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit,
(1 Cor 12:3-12) (6)
Spiritual warfare
– Declare war on the enemy. Plead
the blood of Jesus and Put on the full armor of God, stand and fight! Bind the
Principalities of darkness and loose the Holy Spirit over your life, your job,
your church, your family, your friends and your city. Release ministering
angels to protect, encamp about and put up a hedge of protection around those
you are praying for, (Eph 6:10-18; Rev 12:11) (7)
Watching
– Prophetically pray what the Holy Spirit is leading you to pray, be aware
and sensitive to the Holy Spirits Intercessions for people, places, positions,
prophesies and promises, (Rom 8:28). (8)
Intercession
– Prayer for others peoples needs. Cry out for you friend, family, leaders
and enemies. Stand in the gap for those who have yet to hear the gospel and
pray that those who have heard will obey. Live a Gap-Life of worship, prayer
and ministry (1 Tim 2:1-2) (9)
Petition
– Prayer for personal needs. God knows and cares for your need. He has the
solution all He is waiting for you to do is initiate the relationship. God
sent His Son now it our turn to initiate communication. (10)
Meditation –
Reflect upon scripture, the promises and the goodness of God, (Rev 2:7) (11)
Waiting upon God
– Be still and listen to God. Do not be anxious, forget your agenda, God
wants quality not a quantity of time, (Psa 37:7) (12)
Thanksgiving and adoration
– serenade of God. Thank God for His goodness and mercy, (Col 1:13)
This prayer model is adapted from Dick
Eastman’s book, “The Hour
That Changes The World,” and Linda Schubert’s,
"Miracle Hour." |
