There will be 3 billion persons who will die without an effective witness of the gospel in this generation, Because complacent and backslidden Christian’s and pastors; there is no effective proclamation of the gospel to the ends of the earth. Our pride, laziness, and worldly lusts are the cause of many lost people perishing. If you are not obeying God you are an obstacle, a stumbling block. God’s anger is aroused at you. You’re in danger of judgment, unless you turn. Pride is a stronghold that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. God resists you if you’re in pride. Pride is rebellion against God, which is as the sin of witchcraft. Pride is what happens when we take credit for what God does and we start saying I did this, I did that, I can do it alone, etc. It is the I problem that satan had I will be like God, I will ascend to the throne of God, I will be worshiped like the Almighty. Many except the lie of satan that they can be like God, even little gods. A lot of pastors, evangelists, prophets, apostles, teachers, worship leaders, missionaries’ mistake pride for the anointing. If you are prideful here and or worried about what you will receive there instead of what God wants you to do now, you will loose your reward in heaven Matt 5-6. Laziness is one major sin. Scriptures says if a man does not work do not let him eat. We over feed pew potatoes, what is intended for the lost, Whom instead of going out and saving souls they loose souls. They do this by causing lost people to look at their example and see that Christians are hypocrites. I had a lost person one time tell me, he would not become a Christian, because "We are hypocrites, we say one thing and do another," and that we "don’t know what we believe." Because they can see that we do not show brotherly love, we lack hunger and knowledge, and we cannot agree on a single thing i.e. all the denominations. There is a major lake of unity, and a concerted effort to break down walls. Laziness is at the root of the problem. The church as a whole suffers from pastors who don’t seek after God, and do not feed the pew potatoes enough to get them hot for Jesus. Then there is the grossest sin of them all I believe; lust and the lack of desire of purging the flesh, the world and Mammon. To many forget they will stand before God and be judged for every idle word they speak. Basically, in essence this is the issue Paul dealt with in Romans and Corinthians, the lake of purging the Old Man, or the fleshly man, out. Paul called the Corinthians, well know Pentecostals Fleshy. In Romans he admitted his own struggle and that Jesus and obeying the law’s of God, through grace by faith was the only way to overcome the fleshly sins that kill the body. Too many today are allowing worldly lust such as lust for money, cars, homes, position, popularity, status, rank, etc…to control their life and ministry. They do not want to leave behind their personal gods, whom they exalt above Jesus; at the same time they want to have fellowship with God. To much flesh is preached from the pulpit and spit out onto the pews causing those in the pews to think it is okay, loosing there fire for God at the same time. This filth is an abomination to God, which we think we can violate God’s house and live. Complacent Christians Have no fire, no compassion, and they forget that they will one day stand before a holy God and give account for every action they have done, every idle word they have spoken, and the lack of use of the gifts. The gifts have been given to you to use for the advancement of the kingdom. If God saved you to do nothing He would rapture you when you get saved, but He doesn’t. He has a purpose for you and He does not have to find our what His purpose is for you. He doesn’t forget, He knew before the creations of the world. It is your responsibility to find out what it is, God knows. If you stand on judgment day without a gift for God it is your responsibility not God’s. God saved you what you do for God is your choice. What is the solution then; we must return to Biblical Christianity. Let’s not look at all the other generations and say that they didn’t obey every scripture. Let’s look at scripture and obey. To ride ourselves of our pride, laziness, and worldliness we must become humble, hungry, and holy. We must become disciplined to disciple others and obey God. We must have a powerful encounter with God. God was the God of Abraham their father, of Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, and Moses until they each had a powerful, personal encounter with Yah(ct)Weh, Who then became their personal God, and deliverer. As Paul said to Timothy "Fan your gift to flame" 2 Tim 1:6, and ask The Lord to light the fire again Rev 3:15-22. "Lets
Start Some Fires"
Matthew
5:14
A
Light shines it doesn't hide! Some
Fires are good; Farmers use fire to clear out a bad crop; Fire produces good
fertilizer - crops grow better after a fire, best growth in the forest after a
fire; Signal fires and flares help us locate lost people; Lighthouses light the
way for wayward ships and keep them from crashing into the shore, (The shore is
symbolic of Jesus the rock, we can either rest on the rock or allow ourselves to
run into the rocks along the shore and it will break us to pieces). Many
today in the spiritual sense are trying to put out the Lighthouses in the
church; They no longer want prayer, bible study or the ten commandments on the
walls of the schools; They no longer want to teach creation, abstinence and
family values; Instead they choose to teach evolution, humanism, premarital sex,
infanticide and the new age philosophy of meditation, chance, karma and
enlightenment. God wants us to be Lighthouses in a dark world.
How
many know that a Night-Light Hide underneath a table isn't going to help any
one? We are called to be a light on the top of a hill. We must turn on all the
lights in our house and let them shine as Lighthouses for Jesus so people can
see them. However that is what many of us what to do, we try to hide our light
out of fear of failure or fear of popularity. That is not Gods plan for us - He
doesn't want us to be cowardly, 2 Tim 1:7. Most of us are afraid to evangelize
because we are afraid of confrontation and rejection. I believe with all my
heart Gods has enabled many in the body of Christ to realize this and have
created an easy approach to evangelism called prayer evangelism. It is simple
you start first by praying for the lost person you want to see saved. Prayer is
simply talking to God, as you would any other person, the only difference you
cannot see Him and you do not hear His voice with you ears. You hear His voice
with you heart. Hearing God is a process of growing toward God in relationship.
As in any good relationship, good communication comes with time. Start telling
God about your problems concerns and needs. Then tell God about your friends’
problems, concerns and needs, ask him to do it in Jesus name and then praise God
for who He is and what He has promised He will do. Secondly you must make a
friendship with this person you are praying for; Take them out to a nice G or PG
movie, Take them to a local or school event, Take them out to diner or Hang out
with them at lunch if your still in school, Start a study group at home, work or
school. Then as your friendship grows you can ask them for prayer requests, to
show you care about them. If they tell you they are having family problems or
that they want to commit suicide. Tell them that you will pray for that need.
This shows you care and no person with problems will ever in his or her right
mind refuse prayer or help. If you can help the situation please do, If not just
pray. Simply tell God, "Father
God, Man, my friends got problems and please you have got to help him out, In
Jesus Name." Finally you can either, invite the person to church, share you
salvation testimony or share the gospel with that person. Don't be afraid to
talk about God. Do not talk about what happened to Moses tell them what God is
doing for you. I have never had someone tell me to stop telling them about the
good things God has done in my life. God is providing and caring for me because
He does such and such. If you tell them about a loving caring God, when the need
Him the most the will want Him to and may ask you how can they know this God
personally also. After that keep on praying for the person, continue to invite
them to church. Get them involved with Church, take them to Sunday Church with,
Invite them to cell group and answer any questions they may have if you cannot
ask pastor or any other leader for that fact. Don’t be afraid to go to the
library and find answers for yourself. It doesn't matter if you mess up. Its how
many times you get up, because you will succeed one day. Even if you do not have
the answers. You know the answer, Jesus. Its that simple.
